The Little Church that could...

John Witteman crafted this little church piggy bank in 1999.  Since then, it has raised over $11,800 in anonymous donations, which have been used for many projects in the church.   Check it out next time you're in the narthex.

News--Last month funds from the Little Church help to pay for the new carpet.  Thank you to all who donated.

Welcome!

Our friendly congregation invites you to visit any of our services.  Let us get acquainted while we worship together. Hear the message of Jesus as presented by Pastor Kim Fields, with help from The Wings of Faith band, our pipe organist, the choir and many other talented volunteers and staff.  Questions?  Call 467-1151.

Sermons For May

·  May 4—Acts 1:6-14— “Caught in between” - Pastor Kim will speak on the difficulty that the early church faced in being caught in between the dream of what could be and one day will be and the reality of what is.  Communion will be served.

· May 11—Pentecost Sunday— “Acts 2:1-21- “What’s it all about?” - Pastor Kim will try to answer the question what is life about and what does the gift of the Spirit mean in that context.  Our youth choir will sing at both services.  Wear red and come prepared to celebrate both the birthday of the church and Mother’s Day.

· May 18—Trinity Sunday— Matthew 28:16-20— “God in three persons” - Pastor Kim will seek to explain the holy mystery of how God can be at the same time one God and yet be known in three persons.  This will be the last day of Sunday School;  there will be only one service at 11 a.m.; teachers will be recognized; Bibles will be given to third and fourth graders; and there will be a “Summer Blast Off” picnic following the second service.

· May 25—Matthew 6:25-34— “Seek first” - Pastor Kim will preach on this passage in which Jesus tries to assure his disciples that there is no need for them to worry.   This is Memorial Day weekend and there will be only one worship service at 9:30 a.m.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness-A Self-Care Task
The Lord's Prayer reminds us of our need to be forgiven as well as our need to forgive.

Forgiving someone who has hurt you is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.   Harboring bitterness and an unforgiving spirit can be detrimental to your physical, mental and spiritual health.
